Road work to start Sunday on I-24 in Christian County

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet wants the public to be aware of milling and paving operations on I-24 in Christian County starting on Sunday.

According to a news release, the work will resume on Sunday at 6 p.m. and continue through Friday, October 15th until 6:00, as these improvements will be addressed around the clock.

I-24 will be reduced to one-lane between mile points 76 to mile point 85, between the Cox Mill Road interchange and the U.S. 41-A interchange.

The work zone speed limit will be posted at 55 miles per hour and motorists should anticipate reduced speeds and possible delays while this work is addressed. Drivers are strongly encouraged to allow extra time to reach their destination.

KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
