The Christian County Sheriff’s Department will be home to the “Paws and Claws” adoption event, which will bring together multiple local animal shelters and rescues on October 23.
If you’re looking for a new furry friend in your life, the chance to adopt one will be yours at the sheriff’s department’s location on West Seventh Street in Hopkinsville on October 23. Public Information Officer Chris Miller saying things will kick off at 10 a.m. and include the Christian County Animal Shelter, Max’s Hope Pet Rescue, the Christian County Humane Society, Haven 12:10, and Moving Mountains for Mastiffs.
He says they’ll have deputies grilling up some food, some vendors and drawings for prizes at the event that goes until 2 p.m.
Miller says the deputies deal a lot with animal welfare in the county and they have a heart for those animals, so they hope to get as many adopted as possible.
People can also bring donations to benefit those agencies at the event, and for information about adoption fees and requirements, a list of a way to contact each agency can be found on the Christian County Sheriff’s Department Facebook.
