The COVID-19 positivity rate has dropped back down into the single digits, as Governor Andy Beshear reported 4,118 new cases Friday.
According to the daily update, which shows that just over 1,000 of those new cases were individuals under the age of 18—the positivity rate dropped down to 9.67 percent and Todd County is now listed as ‘orange’ on the COVID-19 state incidence rate map. Christian, Trigg and other surrounding counties remain ‘red’.
There were 34 newly reported deaths, putting that total at 8,804. There are currently 1,900 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 553 in the ICU and 357 on a ventilator.
