A traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard Friday afternoon led to a foot pursuit and eventual arrest of a local man on multiple felony charges.
Hopkinsville police stopped 40-year old Douglas Dotson of Hopkinsville for having the wrong license plate displayed and an arrest citation says he stopped at the Finish Line Car Wash and then fled from the vehicle on foot.
He ran through the parking lot of Planet Fitness and into a backyard of a home on Altsheler Drive, where he was brought into custody.
A search of his person allegedly revealed a baggie of methamphetamine and a computer check revealed the 2004 Cadillac Deville he was driving had been reported stolen out of Nashville.
Dotson was arrested for fleeing or evading police, felony receiving stolen property, trafficking in meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and driving on a DUI suspended license.
