Ky. adds 2,510 COVID cases, 53 deaths

While the positive rate for COVID-19 in Kentucky stayed fairly stagnant, there were 2,510 cases reported Thursday, showing that the numbers stay in a decline.

According to the daily update, there were also 53 COVID-19 related deaths, putting the death toll since the pandemic began in the state at 8,770.  The positivity rate stayed steady at 10.08 percent, while Christian, Todd, Trigg and the majority of surrounding counties remain ‘red’ on the COVID-19 state incidence rate map.  Lyon County is labelled as ‘orange’.

There are currently 1,976 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 566 in the ICU and 381 on a ventilator.
