Two Hopkinsville residents were injured in a rollover collision that occurred Wednesday morning at Lafayette Road and Country Club Lane.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, a vehicle operated by 59-year old Barbara Lassiter of Hopkinsville and a second vehicle driven by 33-year old Mallory Keaton of Hopkinsville collided in the intersection around 10 a.m. Thursday morning. The force of the collision caused Lassiter’s vehicle to overturn onto its side.
She had to be extricated from the vehicle, and she reportedly told officers she wasn’t sure why she didn’t stop at the red light.
Lassiter was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for possible injuries to her chest, while Keaton was transported for possible injuries to her knees and neck.
Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
