Details have been released on an accident from Tuesday night in southern Todd County that sent three people to a Nashville hospital.
The collision report from Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy David Hutcheson says 78-year-old James Frogue of Guthrie was making a right turn from KY 181 onto Frogue Road just north of South Todd Elementary School when his pickup pulling a tobacco trailer was rear-ended by a southbound car operated by 47-year old Curtis Ray of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
The car became lodged under the trailer and Ray and his passengers—53-year old Sean Thomas of Guthrie and 16-year old Christian Robbins of Guthrie—had to be extricated by the Todd County Rescue Squad.
They were flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville with serious injuries.
Frogue was not injured in the crash.
A witness told police that it appeared the car had been traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision.
