Todd County Public Health Director Jen Harris believes there is much confusion in the public about additional COVID vaccine doses and booster shots.
Harris says third doses of Moderna and Pfizer are already available at the Todd County Health Department and elsewhere for folks with a severely compromised immune system.
Pfizer is the only vaccine approved for booster shots—available to individuals 18 and up who are essential workers, adults who have diabetes, asthma or who are obese; those who are 65 and up, and those who live in long-term care facilities—though they have to come six months ore more after the second dose.
