Ninth District State Representative Myron Dossett will seek a ninth term in the House in next year’s elections.
The Republican from Pembroke says he’s been honored to serve since 2007 and believes the seniority he’s accumulated allows him to have more influence as he represents portions of Christian and Hopkins Counties.
He says passing a two-year budget will be the top priority of the 2022 session of the Kentucky General Assembly and a special session could come before the end of the year to address legislative re-districting.
Lawmakers will also have to review pandemic measures passed during the recent special session to see if any extensions or changes are needed.
Dossett is a small business owner and previously served as a Christian Fiscal Court magistrate before being elected to the House in 2006.
