Madisonville’s Lady Maroons won the Girls 2nd Region golf title for the third time in as many years at Madisonville Country Club. The Lady Maroons had a team total of 320, Daviess County was second with 372 and Hopkinsville was third at 380.
Individually, Hopkinsville’s Cate Blane qualified for state with an 80, shooting 40 on each nine. Also headed to state as an individual is University Heights Conlee Lindsey who fired an 86. The Lady Blazers finished fourth as a team with a 414 score.
The KHSAA State Tournament will take place October 5-6 at Bowling Green Country Club.
