Reds lose, Cardinals rally for win, Braves lose Thursday

The Washington Nationals held off a late rally by the Cincinnati Reds and got a 3-2 win at Great American Ballpark last night. The teams play again tonight with the next Reds on Radio broadcast Sunday at 11:40 am on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

Elsewhere in the National League

Milwaukee had a 5-1 on St. Louis after five innings but the Cardinals scored seven times in their last three at bats to down the Brewers 8-5. St. Louis begins a weekend series with a day-night doubleheader at the Chicago Cubs today.

The Arizona Diamondbacks scored five times in the 7th inning to avoid a sweep by the Atlanta Braves in winning 6-4 Thursday at Chase Field. The Braves will complete a suspended game and then a regular game with the San Diego Padres later today at Petco Park.
