Todd County’s always-popular bale trail officially kicks off this weekend and there are nearly 50 hay creations spread out across the county to drive by or stop and take a photo with.
Chamber of Commerce Director Tiffany Groves says download a map from the Todd County Chamber website or pick one up at the square or many local businesses and drive to all 47 registered creations that feature all types of themes from food to Star Wars to animated characters.
The bale trail traditionally brings thousands of people to Todd County and Groves doesn’t expect this year to be any different.
She encourages you to post photos of the hay creations on social media and to use the hashtag “Todd Bale.”
Meanwhile, visitors to Elkton Saturday can visit HarvestFest on the Public Square and Welcome Center Director Charlotte Myers says there will be vendor and food booths around the square, live music and fun for people of all ages.
HarvestFest goes from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and the weather should be favorable for the event.
