Vote delayed on expanding College Football Playoff

A vote is being delayed on a proposed 12-team format for the College Football Playoff. The board of managers will meet by video conference rather than in-person like planned. With the college landscape changing since June with Texas and Oklahoma heading to the SEC, the process for a CFP expansion will drag on longer. Notre Dame Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick told ESPN there are enough “lingering issues” that the commissioners weren’t ready to move forward.
