The Christian County School System’s Test to Stay program officially begins Monday.
The district released details on the implementation of the plan, reiterating it’s currently only or students and staff who are close contacts of someone who’s COVID positive at school and not at home or in the community.
Officials say the “Test to Stay” clinic will be available each school day in the Performing Arts Center at Christian County Middle School from 6 until 9:30 a.m.
A parent or guardian must transport their student to the clinic and must sign a consent form for five consecutive school days.
A lab form can be downloaded on the district website and must be completed by a parent or guardian each visit. Staff and students who test negative for COVID will receive a permission slip to check into school that day.
The program is optional, but students and staff who do not utilize it will be required to quarantine for 10 days.
Students and staff will not be required to test on weekends.
