The positivity rate is continuing to drop in Kentucky, but the number of COVID-19 related deaths continues to be high.
Governor Andy Beshear reported 52 new deaths Wednesday, saying that they’re seeing younger and younger age groups among those numbers—he says those deaths can be preventable if people do what needs to be done, including getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
The governor was glad to see the positivity rate drop further, down to 11.66 percent—he reported 4,418 newly reported cases. There are currently 2,257 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 651 in the ICU and 453 currently on a ventilator
