The Christian County Colonel Marching Band was named overall grand champion at the Graves County Marching Invitational Saturday while the Hopkinsville Band of Tigers was named reserve grand champion.
According to a news release from CCPS Spokesperson John Rittenhouse, marching their show entitled “Catching Shadows”, the Colonel Band also received first place in Class AAAA and Best Overall Percussion.
The Hopkinsville Band of Tigers marched their show entitled “The Fire Within”, and they also placed second in class AAAA and Best Overall Guard.
This Saturday, both bands will be traveling to the Festival of Champions at Murray State University.
