Salvador Perez tied Johnny Bench’s record for the most home runs in a season by a catcher in the Kansas City Royals 7-2 loss to the Oakland A’s in Kansas City. Perez launched a two-run bomb in the first inning for his 45th homer of the year, which tied Bench’s record.
