Unemployment was down slightly from July to August in Kentucky.
Kentucky’s August unemployment rate was 4.3 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, down a tenth of a point from July and down 1.2 percent from the 5.5 percent recorded in August of 2020.
The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for August was 5.2 percent, down from the 5.4 percent reported in July, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
