Churchill Downs will unveil bronze statues to honor two legends of the famed track. One is the late John Asher, who joined Churchill in 1997 and was the track’s Vice President of Racing Communications until his untimely death in 2018. The other is Colonel Matt Winn, who oversaw the early growth of the Kentucky Derby. The ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow.
