A Hopkinsville man is facing numerous charges, including a second offense of failing comply with the sex offender registry, after being served with multiple arrest warrants Thursday.
According the Hopkinsville police report, officers were serving 52-year old Robert Sanders of Hopkinsville when he reportedly told them he had methamphetamine on his person. A baggie of suspected meth was located in his shirt pocket and he was transported to the Christian County Jail, where a deputy jailer discovered another baggie of meth in Sanders’ hat.
During the investigation, it was determined that Sanders had failed to comply with the sex offender registry, which is the second time that he has been allegedly non-compliant.
He was charged with second-offense possession of meth, second-offense failure to comply with the sex offender registry, and second-degree promoting contraband.
