The Hopkinsville Art Guild’s 50th Annual Pennyroyal Juried Art Exhibition will be held at the Hopkinsville Community College Auditorium Gallery beginning in October.
According to a news release, all area artists are invited to enter and the entry deadline is October 2nd by 12 p.m. A registration form and more information can be found on the Guild website hopkinsvilleartguild.org
The exhibit will feature works in multiple categories, including drawing, water media such as painting using acrylic or watercolor, oil painting, Mixed Media/3-D, which includes collage, montage, jewelry, wood turnings, textiles, baskets, pottery, and sculpting and photography. There will be cash awards in each category for first, second and third place selected by retired art professor Kell Black.
Cash awards totaling over $3,500 will be presented to winning artists during an awards reception on Sunday, October 24, from 2:00 until 3:00 at the HCC Auditorium Gallery. The exhibit is open to the public for the month of October during the HCC Gallery’s normal hours.
