Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear says it’s not a red against blue issue when it comes to misinformation related to COVID-19 and vaccines.
Speaking on NBC’s Meet the Press, Beshear and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan detailed the challenges of trying to get people vaccinated in their states with misinformation still spreading fast.
Beshear, a Democrat, said he’s bringing in FEMA and sending the National Guard to hardest hit areas.
Governor Beshear has called a special session of the General Assembly that begins Tuesday to address areas where Democrats and Republicans can compromise and address the rising numbers.
Meanwhile, Republican Governor Hogan said he’s very proud of the fact Maryland has a very high vaccinated rate. Hogan noted he was critical of former President Trumps’ actions early in the pandemic. He’s now criticizing the Biden administration’s messaging on booster shots and when they will be available.
