The Logan County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a collision on U.S. 68-KY 80 that occurred Thursday and sent two people to the hospital.
According to a news release, deputies responded to the intersection of U.S. 68 and Highway 103 and determined that a vehicle operated by 18-year-old Hayden Sisk of Russellville had attempted to make a left turn on 68-80 from College Street when he collided head-on with another vehicle. That vehicle was driven by 29-year-old Tracy Blackford of Auburn, and she had reportedly been attempting to cross 68-80 from Chandlers Road when the collision occurred.
Blackford and a passenger from Sisk’s vehicle, 53-year-old Jerry Thomas of Auburn, were both taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
