A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving road work along a section of U.S. 68 in Trigg County starting on Friday.
According to a news release, this overlay project runs along U.S. 68 from the U.S. 68-Business and Main Street intersection extending eastward to near the I-24 Cadiz Exit 65 Interchange, a distance of about three and a half miles.
The contractor anticipates removal of pavement markings on Friday, with milling and paving to begin on September 7. The work is expected to take about 12 to 14 working days to complete.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic in the work zone with traffic flow controlled by flaggers near the paving crew and some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Motorists are reminded to use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and paving personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
