The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has delayed the start of an extended closure along Roaring Springs Road in southern Trigg County until further notice due to impending weather.
According to a news release, a culvert replacement project that was scheduled to start on Monday will be rescheduled at a later date due to anticipated heavy rainfall generated by the remnants of hurricane Ida.
KYTC District 1 plans to close KY 164 for about three weeks to allow the Casey Creek Branch Culvert be replaced near the 19-mile marker. This work will be along KY 164 between South Road and Delmont Church Road.
Once KYTC engineers see how much rainfall impacts the construction site over the next few days, a new start date will be established for the extended closure of Roaring Springs Road.
