Ky. gains 4,815 COVID-19 cases, 18 deaths

Kentucky gained 4,815 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, along with 18 new deaths.

The positivity rate increased again, now up to 13.33 percent, and representing weeks of increasing rate and new coronavirus cases. The 18 new deaths put the overall death toll since the pandemic began at 7,685.

With every county remaining β€˜red’ on the COVID-19 state incidence rate map, there are currently 2,129 individuals in the hospital, 592 in the ICU and 349 on a ventilator.
