Local Shakespeare enthusiasts don’t have to travel to Nashville or Evansville this year to see Shakespeare in the Park this summer, as Kentucky Humanities will bring an abbreviated performance of Much Ado About Nothing to Hopkinsville next month.
Margaret Prim is the executive director of the Pennyroyal Arts Council and says the free event will be September 16 at 6 p.m. at the HCC Roundtable Park.
She says the Kentucky Shakespeare Performers will also be traveling to local schools and in the days before the main event and speaking to students.
Parking will be available in front of the HCC library at no cost.
