Two small children flown to Nashville hospital with possible carbon monoxide poisoning

Two small children were flown to a Nashville hospital for possible carbon monoxide poisoning following an incident Monday night at James Village on East 21st Street.

Hopkinsville Fire Department Public Information Officer Payton Rogers says two stations were called to James Village a few minutes after 9 p.m. for the smell of gas and two small children presenting symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning were located in a nearby home.

Those children were flown by Air Evac to a Nashville hospital, where their condition was unknown.

Their names have not been released.
