Trial scheduled for woman charged in Oak Grove Burger King robbery

A trial date was scheduled Monday morning for the woman accused of conspiring with others to rob the Oak Grove Burger King in June of last year.

David Rye represents 36-year-old Rebecca McCoy of Oak Grove and told Circuit Judge Andrew Self that he and Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling have not been able to come to a plea agreement.

Judge Self scheduled a trial that’s expected to last one day for January 3.

The initial report from Oak Grove police indicated three men armed with guns entered the store and demanded cash. They reportedly had their faces covered and no one was injured.

McCoy is indicted for complicity to commit first-degree robbery and tampering with evidence.
