At least 10 dead in Middle Tennessee flooding

Ten people are dead and about 40 are missing after extreme floods sweep through Middle Tennessee.

The Tennessean reports crews were going house to house in Waverly and Humphreys County in search of missing people late Saturday.

County Sheriff Chris Davis said the flooding is the worst he’s seen in 28 years.  Rural roads and highways throughout the county were washed away in the floods.

Over 15 inches of rain fell in Humphreys County Saturday, and a flash flood warning was put in effect.  Much of the area is without power because of the flooding.
