Former Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese died Saturday following a battle with cancer at age 73. Reese spent 21 years with the Houston Oilers and the Titans as coach and executive, and he remains the winningest general manager in franchise history. He is to be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor this season.

Reese was the architect of the only Titans team to ever appear in a Super Bowl, losing to the then St. Louis Rams in Atlanta. Reese had most recently worked as a radio talk show host in Nashville until mid-December.
