Six University of Kentucky players were charged Thursday with burgulary and wanton endangerment. The six include Devito Tisdale-who played his high school football at Bowling Green High.Lexington police say in a news release the incident occurred at a private party being thrown at a residence on March 6. During the party, three individuals allegedly entered the residence uninvited and were asked to leave. The individuals became upset and threatened to return.
A short time later, the three individuals allegedly returned with additional subjects. The group forced their way into the residence with one suspect allegedly observed pointing a firearm at a victim.
Coach Mark Stoops said in a statement the school has been aware of the incident since it occurred and has withheld the players from football activities. He added he could not further comment on the matter.
