Christian County Public Schools will be delaying the start of preschool by two days until August 25.
That’s according to a news release from CCPS Spokesperson John Rittenhouse, which states that due to the mask mandate set down by Governor Andy Beshear, they’re pushing the start of preschool back to August 25 to allow parents extra time to prepare their children.
It will also allow CCPS more time to prepare the best learning environment and masking plan to best serve the youngest children, who at this time are not eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
