Washington Nationals right-handed pitcher Joe Ross will be out for the rest of the season because of a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Luckily for Ross, the injury will not require surgery, but he will need to go through extensive rehab. Ross said he felt tightness in his right forearm following a bullpen session on Sunday and an MRI revealed the partial tear of his UCL. The right-hander made 19 starts this season with a 5-and-9 record and a 4.17 earned run average.

Josh Rosen’s stint with the San Francisco 49ers is coming to an end. The team announced it waived the former 10th overall pick after he struggled to claim the third quarterback spot in the depth chart. Rosen didn’t appear in a regular season game for San Francisco after signing with the team in December. The 24-year-old faces an uncertain future as he’s played only 20 games since 2018. Rosen threw a combined 19 interceptions during his tenure with the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins.

Jamal Adams’ contract standoff with the Seattle Seahawks has come to an end. NFL Network is reporting that the Seahawks signed Adams to a four-year deal worth 70 million dollars. The new contract pays Adams an average of 17-point-5 million dollars per year, making him the NFL’s highest-paid safety. The 25-year-old Adams will get 38 million guaranteed. Adams had nine-and-a-half sacks for Seattle last season.
