(Indianapolis, IN) — A.J. Allmendiger needed to survive cautions, red flags, poor track conditions and the removal of a curb from turn six as he took home a NASCAR Cup Series win at The Brickyard. Allmendinger soared to the front in overtime after Chase Briscoe wrecked leader Denny Hamlin on the heels of a penalty. Ryan Blaney finished second while Kyle Larson took third. A late red flag and massive wreck led to the removal of a curb over turn six, which had filtered debris across the track.
