KSP arrests Michigan woman following pursuit in Todd Co.

A Michigan woman was arrested and is facing multiple charges following a vehicle pursuit in Todd County Thursday evening.

According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, the vehicle driven by 45-year-old Cindy Ngo of Michigan allegedly went through a police safety checkpoint at US 79 in Todd County without stopping.  Troopers Justin Cornette and Kirby Broadbent caught up to the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle accelerated and continued north on US 79 for nine miles before losing control in a curve and overturning.

Ngo had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to the Logan County hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and released into custody.  She is lodged in the Todd County Jail.

She is charged with DUI, fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment and multiple traffic violations—she was also served with warrants out of Tennessee, where she had allegedly fled from deputies earlier in the day.
