Heat Advisory in effect until 8 p.m.

For a third consecutive day, a Heat Advisory is in effect for all of Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee until 8 p.m. this evening.

Forecasters say high temperatures will top out in the mid-90’s and combine with humidity to create heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees.

Protect against heat exhaustion and heat stroke by drinking plenty of water and taking breaks in a shady or air-conditioned area if you’re spending time outdoors today.

Never leave a pet or a baby in a hot car for any period of time and be sure outdoor pets have water and a place of shade to cool down.
