A Heat Advisory has been issued for all of our Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee listening area from noon until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Temperatures in the mid-90’s will combine with the humidity to create heat index values of 105 to 110.
Those who must work outdoors are encouraged to do work early in the morning or in the late evening hours when it’s cooler, if possible. Take frequent breaks indoors or in a shady area if that’s not possible and be sure to drink plenty of water.
Check on elderly neighbors and be sure any outdoor pets have water and a place with shade to take refuge from the sun.
It’s likely another heat advisory will be issued for Thursday, as the heat is expected to persist.
