CCHD reports 168 new COVID-19 cases, 10 of them ‘break through’ cases

The Christian County Health Department reports that COVID-19 case numbers continue to rise in the county, and reported breakthrough cases.

According to a news release, there were 168 reported cases locally since July 29, putting the overall total 7,508.  Of those 168, ten of those cases were ‘break through’ cases, which means those individuals tested positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated.

There are 266 active cases and 7,140 people have recovered from the virus.  Christian County has had 102 COVID-19 related deaths and to date, the health department has administered 27,876.
