Small businesses have continued to be an important part of the United Way of the Pennyrile’s annual campaign and the small business division kicked off its efforts Tuesday morning at Joelle’s Bakery in Hopkinsville.
DeeAnna Sova co-chairs the Small Business Division with Traci Mason and says having that division designation this year shows the community that their fundraising efforts last more than a few days or a week.
Sova notes many small businesses have taken the brunt of negative impacts from the pandemic and she hopes the partnership with Joelle’s and other small businesses will be a win-win for everyone.
Money raised by the United Way campaign goes to support the 20 partner agencies that serve residents of Christian, Todd, Trigg and Caldwell counties.
