Hoppers lose regular season finale at Paducah-OVL postseason begins today

The Hoptown Hoppers concluded the regular season with an 8-5 loss at the Paducah Chiefs last night. Jojo Cruz had two of the Hoppers nine hits which included a double. Arlon Butts added a triple with Garrett Sagro taking the pitching loss. The Hoppers concluded the regular season 21-22 and following an off day today, open the OVL South Division playoffs tomorrow night at Fulton. Tonight in the OVL: Franklin welcomes Paducah in the OVL South play-in game with the winner to open the OVL South Division playoffs at Full Count tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, the OVL North play-in game will not be played as Muhlenberg County announced yesterday they will not play in the post season. According to a statement from the Ohio Valley League, the Stallions would not be able to complete the season due to injuries and departures. Madisonville will face Henderson in the OVL North Division playoffs tomorrow night.
