Carothers transfers from Navy to WKU to continue football career

Kentucky’s Mr. Football in 2016 is returning to the Bluegrass State. Bowling Green High graduate Jamale Carothers announced Monday he is transferring from the Naval Academy to Western Kentucky. Carothers will be eligible to play this season according to the Bowling Green Daily News. He rushed for 358 yards and two touchdowns in the 2020 season. It was reported back in May that Carothers had been dismissed by Navy for violation of an honor code according to the Capital Gazette. He then went into the transfer portal.
