One dead after Princeton head-on collision

A person has died from injuries sustained in a head-on collision Sunday morning in Princeton.

It happened about 11:20 a.m. in the 800 block of West Washington Street, with Princeton police saying 69-year-old Billie Jenkins of Grand Rivers was westbound on Washington and collided head-on with an eastbound automobile driven by 72-year-old Austin Ladd of Princeton in the eastbound lane.

Jenkins had to be extricated from the vehicle and then flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, with the Medical Examiner’s Office telling Princeton Police that Jenkins died several hours later Sunday evening.
