Two charged in connection with sale of stolen utility trailer

Two people have been charged in connection with the theft of a utility trailer from the Christian County Cooperative Extension Office last month.

An arrest warrant for felony receiving stolen property and theft by deception was served Monday afternoon against 42-year-old Cheryl McGuire of Hopkinsville.

It alleges she worked with 27-year old John Oliver of Hopkinsville to sell the stolen trailer to a couple last month utilizing a forged bill of sale dated in April. They also sold the couple a stolen rifle, according to the warrant.

Oliver was arrested earlier this month and he was also sought on numerous other warrants, in addition to the theft and receiving stolen property counts.
