HPD arrests Bowling Green man on robbery charge

Hopkinsville police arrested a Bowling Green man Saturday morning following a disturbance near the new Holiday Inn.

Thirty-five-year-old Cornelius Fowler of Bowling Green is charged with second-degree robbery and driving on a suspended license, with an arrest citation saying he was in an argument with his girlfriend near the Holiday Inn a few minutes after 9 a.m. when it became physical and he allegedly grabbed her by the hair.

Fowler then allegedly grabbed the woman’s car keys and drove way with her property and dog inside until he was stopped less than an hour later on Russellville Road.
