The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place at Fredonia Food and More in Fredonia on Wednesday.
According to a post, the robbery occurred around 10:00 pm. The sheriff’s office is asking for community assistance in providing information, saying if anyone observed anything suspicious around 10 p.m. in or around the Fredonia area, they are asked to call the sheriff’s office 270-365-2088.
Further details on the robbery include one assailant going inside the store, wearing all dark-colored clothing including a ski mask. They assaulted the employees with what appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol, and the suspect took an undetermined amount of money and left the store in a unknown direction of travel.
