A large fire damaged three homes in a Clarksville neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
Police officers were at a home in the 1000 block of Shirley Drive regarding a woman armed with a gun who was threatening suicide about 3 a.m. when they noticed the house was on fire and called for fire trucks.
The woman was safely removed from the scene several minutes later and officers were able to secure her gun.
Fire destroyed the original home and spread to the homes on each side, causing significant damage to those.
All three families are displaced and the American Red Cross was called to assist them.
