Sources tell Kentucky Sports Radio Iowa transfer CJ Frederick had surgery to repair a broken leg. However, Coach John Calipari took to social media to say it was a “minor procedure” that needed to be done at some point before the season. He added the Wildcat program was happy the procedure went well. Frederick transferred to Kentucky in May. He played his prep basketball at Covington Catholic.
