The American Jazz riverboat remains stuck in a sandbar on Lake Barkley in Trigg County.
Coast Guard officials brought in pontoon boats and removed the passengers and crew members from the boat Friday afternoon, as efforts to free the ship from its predicament have been more difficult than anticipated.
The boat has been stuck near the US 68 Lake Barkley Bridge for over 48 hours and the U.S. Coast Guard has been blocking recreational traffic from around the boat.
The passengers were transported to Nashville after being removed from the boat, as that is where they had been headed before the series of unfortunate events that unfolded Wednesday.
