Hopkinsville police have arrested the man accused of shooting Calvin Buckner to death early Sunday morning at a party on Hazel Street.
The arrest warrant for murder was served about 3 a.m. Thursday against 39-year old Leon Grimes of Hopkinsville.
It alleges that he fatally shot Buckner in the chest at a 4th of July party just south of East 21st Street on Hazel about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Grimes was lodged in the Christian County Jail without bond.
